Gear type shaper
All these are the not usually used shapers. In these shapers and a rack and pinion are used the rack is mounted on the lower part of the ram and on which the pinion moves. The power is transmitted from the bull gear. A grain train is engaged with the transfer of electrical power from the bull gear to pinion.
A shaper is machine and used for producing flat surfaces over the given work piece. It can also be utilised for doing any kind of machining operations but with little difficulty. The shaper and cuts the metal by reciprocating motion of the tool carrying ram. The very first metal working shaper and originated by James Nasmyth in the year 1936
